The reason I’m writing this essay is because I have planned for something to happen in a story and the story seems to go off in another direction. Sometimes, when that happens, I begin to wonder does pre planning even work?
Right now, I already have my novel for NaNoWriMo planned and I know that it’s only going to be a matter of time before I hit that dreaded snag in my writing or the story takes an alternative route. So I wonder how much I should plan and how much I should just leave to chance.
I’ll be back with more later.
