Book Editing, Day 2

Today, I’m going to be taking a look at my 2012 NaNoWriMo novel, Magical Compositions. This story centers on four friends, all outcasts, who form a rock band during the year 1999. But the band is under scrutiny when a cruel bully discovers that the lyrics of their songs are spilling some damning secrets regarding her activities.

After a year of abandoning this story, I decided to completely rewrite it, by changing some of the characters’ names, rewriting all the song lyrics, and even throwing in a bit of controversy in the story. (After all, this DOES take place in the 1990s!)

I also plan to continue this story into the year 2000, with the story ending in late March/early April, when the band ultimately breaks up for good.

I hope that since I’m at this point, I can (hopefully) delete all of the filler material (such as the fake social website and the fake song lyrics) and ACTUALLY write a real story about four girls who form a rock band.

That is all.

And yes, you’re welcome to buy my book Harry Moffer & the Dumbest Story Ever on Amazon.com and The Summer of Our Discontent on Smashwords.com.
