OK, as you can see, today is the birthday of one John Steinbeck, whose works should be no doubt familiar to you, especially since many of you were required to study his works in high school. The same thing happened to me, no thanks to my eleventh grade English teacher.

Anyway, I do recall the field trip that my English class took to the National Steinbeck Center in Salinas and even took a trip to where Pastures of Heaven. Nice.
