NaNoWriMo 2013

I know, it’s a bit too earlyto be talking about NaNoWriMo, but the time is almost upon us. NaNoWriMo 2013 is quickly approaching, and with that, I feel that I must take stock of what I have written so far:

  1. (NaNoWriMo 2008) Notorious: The Ballad of Candy Cane Brenner: Pop star Candy Cane Brenner goes to Steinbeck, California to do a charity concert and gets involved in a decade old mystery that will change her life forever!
  2. (NaNoWriMo 2009) Cosplay! The Novel: Nicholas Blue Prater, a kid who has a problematic home life, is sent to a new school where most of the kids are in social groups. He instead hangs out with a bunch of misfits & discovers the exciting world of Cosplay.
  3. (NaNoWriMo 2010) Harry Potter SucksA Novel for those who have had it with the Harry Potter Phenomenon and the Hype that it caused: A young boy describes his town’s obsession with Harry Potter and what happened when that obsession led to murder of a high-profile Harry Potter fanatic.
  4. (NaNoWriMo 2011) Life, Sin, & Blood: If you think you’ve read all those “girl-meets-vampire” stories, think again! A popular girl named Nadia Coffey loses EVERYTHING and must live with relatives in Columbus, South Carolina. While trying to fit in, she meets a vampire named Adam Norwood, and they go on an adventure of epic proportions.
  5. (NaNoWriMo 2012) Magical Compositions: Four friends, all outcasts, form a rock band during the year 1999. But the band is under scrutiny when a cruel bully discovers that the lyrics of their songs are spilling some damning secrets regarding her activities.

Well, that’s five years of novel writing, and none of these novels are anywhere near fit for publication. (though I am about to finish off LSB) I’ll let you all know if (and when) I decide to start these stories back up.

I think I may have selected my story, but will wait until tomorrow to confirm it.

And yes, you’re welcome to purchase Harry Moffer & the Dumbest Story Ever and The Summer of Our Discontent (Season 1 of the Green Hill Manor Mystery) on Amazon.com. The Summer of Our Discontent is also available for purchase on Smashwords. (At this point, I think I will undertake a book blog tour for Harry Moffer; The Summer of Our Discontent needs to be heavily edited)

  1. I agree with Arphaxad on this. Even a pants-er can be ramping up for NaNoWriMo. Start writing daily now to ensure that you are in full swing for 11/1.
