Gah, I really hate the time change!
Anyway, I’m now on chapter 3 of the story and it starts with Jennifer having a dream where she is a nightmare about being attacked by her classmates. This stems from chapter 1, where Jennifer yells at a student and fights with another student during class. (Well, the protagonist isn’t perfect; in this case, Jen has some pretty damning secrets that are going to boil over throughout the course of the story)
Which brings us to the next point, the plot twist.
At the end of chapter 2, Maura and Oriana are plotting to have Jennifer and Nancy join their band (although the band’s name and genre haven’t been decided yet) while they remember when the teachers and the principal had once plotted to keep the Fab Four apart because they assumed that the girls were isolating themselves from the rest of the school. That could be the set up of a plot twist, which sets up the rest of the story.
Also, I’ve been trying to look for a decent plot twist that’ll get the main part of the story rolling. I did mention that Jennifer’s father wanted her to leave the glee club and focus on her education; he believed that singing was a waste of time and he was also upset that Jennifer had quit the school band to join the glee club.
And in other news, Nancy is also in a world of pain after her mother forbids the family to associate with their father. She is upset and that seems to leak into her school life, where she ignores the apparent concerns of her friends and classmates and lashes out at the teachers who want to help her.
As for the plot twists, I feel that there is clearly a time to find out where this story is going. I think the major plot twist in this chapter is that Jennifer does quit the glee club, only to be forced to join Maura and Oriana instead.
Hahaha, good one from me.
Now I’m off to make it happen.
